Founder, Chairman & Group Chief Executive Officer
Gianluca Galimberti is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Asterion Capital Group.
With more than 30 years of international experience in financial markets, quantitative investing, proprietary trading, merchant banking and corporate advisory, he leads the Group's strategic vision, investment philosophy and long-term growth initiatives.
Throughout his career, Gianluca has advised entrepreneurs, corporations and international investors on complex financial transactions, corporate structuring and cross-border business development. His expertise spans quantitative investment strategies, algorithmic trading, alternative investments, distressed opportunities and international corporate finance.
As Chairman of the Investment Committee, he oversees capital allocation, strategic partnerships and the development of innovative investment platforms combining technology, financial engineering and disciplined risk management.
His vision is to build Asterion Capital Group into a globally recognized independent merchant banking and private investment platform, distinguished by excellence, innovation and long-term value creation.
George Vernon
Chief Investment Officer
George Vernon is responsible for the Group's global investment strategy and portfolio management activities.
Working closely with the Investment Committee, the CIO oversees proprietary investments, private equity opportunities, special situations and capital allocation across all business divisions.
Theresa Simmons
Chief Risk & Compliance Officer
Theresa Simmons is responsible for the Group's enterprise risk management framework, regulatory compliance and internal control systems.
The role ensures that investment activities are conducted in accordance with the highest standards of governance, transparency and risk discipline.
Max Francis
Chief Technology Officer
Max leads the development of the Group's proprietary technology platforms.
Areas of responsibility include quantitative infrastructure, algorithmic trading systems, artificial intelligence applications, cybersecurity, cloud architecture and enterprise technology strategy.
Mark Toddle
Head of Quantitative Investments
Mark Toddle is the Head of Quantitative Investments leads the research and development of proprietary quantitative strategies.
Responsibilities include algorithmic trading, artificial intelligence applications, machine learning models, statistical arbitrage, systematic portfolio construction and execution technologies across global financial markets.
